There are two more missing brackets that I want to replace that help stiffen the top end. It lastly got a very heavy coat of red paint and hopefully I can get another 30-40 years out of it. I pumped about three tubes of corn head grease into the gearbox. While I was at it, I straightened out several bends in the brackets, fabricated some missing pieces that allow the top link to float a little front to back, replaced the blades, shoulder bolts, and most of the fasteners. While doing that I welded up several cracks as well and replaced a missing brace underneath that had rusted away entirely. I parked it and bought a sheet of steel to graft into it and replaced the whole top forward from the gear-box. I bought a new PTO shaft and a new rear tire for it though and was able to use it for a season until part of the deck came loose and started hitting the blade. I bought it cheap as a project as the deck was very rusty. It's an old Imco made in Neodesha Kansas. I also finished rebuilding my mower deck. They can slide side to side to line up with smaller items. We had an extra set of forks that didn't pass load test on our shops forklift, so I made a frame to hang them off of the back of the 8N as it's lift capacity is much less anyway. I finished a forklift attachment for the 8N.
